Biography :

Gerald C. Hsu received an honorable PhD in mathematics and majored in engineering at MIT. He attended different universities over 17 years and studied 7 academic disciplines. He has spent 20,000 hours in T2D research. First, he studied 6 metabolic diseases and food nutrition during 2010-2013, then conducted his own diabetes research during 2014-2018. His approach is a “quantitative medicine” based on mathematics, physics, optical and electronics physics, engineering modeling, signal processing, computer science, big data analytics, statistics, machine learning, and AI also known as “math-physical medicine”. His main focus is on preventive medicine using prediction tools. He believes that the better the prediction, the more control you have.

Biography :

Bandar Manawer al Harbi, current research in diabetes at DMU University, Pharmacy school and he is working as Assistant Director of Pharmacy for Material Management Prince Sultan Military Medical City. He is the Adjunct clinical assistant professor at King Saud University, college of pharmacy and Director of Pharmacy and Director of Central Sterile Supplies Department,, PSMMC, Director of Medical Supplies and Purchasing, PSMMC. He has presented his research in several prestigious International conferences. He is the Chairman of the first International Sterilization Symposium ; Instructor, Purchasing Material Management/CSSD course. He is the active member of American Society of Health System Pharmacist (ASHP) since 2001 and Saudi Commission for Health Care Specialties.

Biography :

Dr Sarita Bajaj MD, DM (Endocrinology AIIMS) and FRCP from each of London, Glasgow and Edinburgh, is currently Director-Professor and Head of Medicine, MLN Medical College, Allahabad, India. She has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award of the UP Diabetes Association (UPDA).Her major contribution is towards studies on Diabetes, Obesity and Growth. Dr Bajaj has almost 200 publications in peer reviewed journals, monograms and books. She has been awarded numerous Orations and Fellowships. In her capacity as scientific chair, she has successfully organized well attended scientific programs on Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic disorders, diabetes exhibitions, camps and has been involved in several National Diabetes Projects. She is holding and has held many prestigious posts of National Societies across India. She is Editor in Chief, ESI Manual of Endocrinology 1st and 2nd edition and on the Editorial Committee of several peer reviewed journals. Dr Sarita Bajaj has been invited as faculty at both national & international forum. Honours have bestowed upon her in the scientific and public field for her enormous contribution to the medical fraternity and society in endocrine education and awareness.

Dr. Ghassan Bkaily is currently employed in the position of president at GBBC Medica Inc. which is a biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the research and development of therapeutic approaches for the treatment of sepsis, chronic pain, diabetes, and essential hypertension. The company is based in Sherbrooke, Canada. Ghassan Bkaily is a investigator in Bkaily laboratory. His major contributions towards research on physiopathology of the interaction between the immune system and the cardiovascular system as well as the role of calcium, sodium and cytosolic and nuclear pH in the pathophysiology of the immune, endothelial and cardiovascular systems during fetal development and aging. The research program which includes Physiopathological role of factors released by the endothelial and immune system on the cardiovascular system during fetal development and aging, Physiological role of physical interaction between cardiovascular - endothelial - monocyte - lymphocyte systems, Role of free nuclear calcium in development and cell death, Physiopathological role of R-type calcium channels etc. His main research work on Cardiomyopathy in Bkaily laboratory.

Development of a new generation of anti-calcium drugs. Physio pathological role of factors released by the endothelial and immune system on the cardiovascular system during fetal development and aging, Role of free nuclear calcium in development and cell death.

Responsibility

Delegates are personally responsible for their belongings at the venue. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Transportation

Please note that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from Allied Academies Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. Allied Academies Pte. Ltd. is an objective third-party nonprofit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact diabetesconference@alliedconferences.org or diabetesconference@alliedconference.com  to request a personalized letter of invitation.

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrants account.

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to finance@alliedacademies.com  

Cancellation Policy

If Allied Academies cancels this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied Academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied Academies event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to finance@alliedacademies.com . Details must be included the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied Academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied Academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied Academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

·         Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee

·         Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund

·         Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund

·         E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.

Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied Academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
