Reproductive endocrinology is a sub-specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology that identifies and treats infertility in each man and women. Reproductive hormone disorders will influence fertility and may have long-term effects on metabolic, cardiovascular and bone health. The reproductive hormones embody estrogen and progesterone in women and androgen in men. In the United States, 15 % of all couples facing fertility issues, and many will be diagnosed with an endocrine reproductive disorder. Males are found to be solely responsible for 20-30% of infertility. Infertility affects approximately 3.5 million people in the UK and in around 12% of women.
